Longy Presents: First Songs: Dawn Upshaw and the Bard Graduate Vocal Arts Program World Premieres. The concert will feature the world premiere of Garden Songs by the acclaimed Argentinian composer Pablo Ortiz on the poetry of Louise Gluck, and written for Dawn Upshaw. Piece "Sveitaar, sveimen var kveioinen: 'Koorwei, koorwei'" to be played on the New York classical music raido WQXR contemporary section Q2 for their August 24th 24 hour marathon! The theme this year is "Her Music" a program of all women composers.

"When Vera" - song for Soprano and Piano written this summer - to be premiered at the Stiftung Neue Synagoge in Berlin by soprano Donna Lee and pianist Stefan Paul as a part of Samuel Adler's summer composition course at Freie Universitat Berlin FUBiS. 

David Adam Nagy (amongthebassoon.com) friend and bassoonist extraordinaire will be giving a solo recital "Sometimes Angels Smoke" at Julliard's Paul Hall including the premier of the piece I wrote for him "Loves: A Study in Rooms"
